As far as I know, I invented this binding. It is a caterpillar stitch inverted vertical instead of horizontal. For those who know the caterpillar stitch, you will know that in order to accomplish this binding, I had to pierce every page sideways, instead of through the fold in the signatures. The book is 2.75 inches by 4 inches tall. The pages are Mohawk Superfine 100 lb in 17 signatures of 2 folio's totaling 136 pages. The caterpillar is made of 4 yards of waxed thread. The book took 5 hours to complete.
